Credentials of Senior Staff
Founded in 1984, Lindon Exploration is located in
The Woodlands, Texas. The three Senior Consultants in the company have
a combined total of 90 years of oilfield experience in oilfield exploration,
exploitation and development projects.
Tom Wittick - President and Senior Consulting Geophysicist
Tom brings over 35 years of geophysical experience
to the team with over 20 years as President and Senior Consulting Geophysicist
at the company he founded, Lindon Exploration. Tom has worked in many on-
and offshore hydrocarbon basins in the US and on international projects
in the North Sea, offshore West Africa, Madagascar, and South America.
Prior to becoming a Consulting Geophysicist, Tom was the Division Exploration
Manager for an independent oil company. In addition he has been the Seismic
Data Processing Manager, Division Geophysicist and Staff Geophysicist for
various companies in the oil and gas industry. His experience has been
used as an expert witness for plaintiffs and defendants to help resolve
technical disputes. Tom's popular industry training seminars have been
presented to numerous major and foreign national oil companies. Tom holds
a BS degree from Wheaton College and a MS in Physics from Kansas State
University. He is a Certified Professional Earth Scientist (SIPES 2576)
and a licensed Professional Geophysicist in the state of Texas (License
1782). Tom's professional publications have appeared in the Journal of Petroleum Technology, the Oil
and Gas Journal, The Leading Edge, and Harts E
and P Journal (citations on request).
Mike has 29 years of experience as a Petroleum Engineer and Engineering and Operations Manager. Prior to his affiliation with Lindon Exploration, for 16 years Mike was the CEO for an independent oil company responsible for all exploration, production, engineering, operations and business development activities in the Mid-Continent, Permian Basin, East Texas, Rocky Mountains and Gulf Coast. Because of his diverse experience in the upstream sector of oil and gas industry, he is keenly aware of the technical requirements needed to make asset investment decisions in today's competitive environment. Mike focuses his technical consulting on performing the analysis necessary to make profitable decisions about the exploitation and development of corporate assets. Mike holds a BS degree from the University of Texas and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
Gordon Marney - Senior Consulting Petrophysicist and Geologist
Gordon has over 30 years experience in the petroleum
industry as a Petrophysicist and Geologist. He evaluates rock properties
of reservoirs and through seismic modeling he determines how changes
in the rock properties will express themselves through various seismic
attributes. Most of his work involves determining how changes in various
rock properties will affect the AVO response of seismic data. He works
with both 2D and 3D seismic data, and has worked a wide range of sedimentary
basins with diverse lithologies and rock types. Gordon holds a BSc from
the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of Houston.
